"I wonder if that's why I could see them," Coraline said thoughtfully looking at Aidan. Coraline had never thought about it before, she'd never thought why she could see the ghost children or why the Other Mother wanted her or anything. Maybe she was just more in tune, like Aidan said, with the supernatural. "There were three ghost children inside our part of the house. I never really thought about why I could see them, I just could. They were the same too, I mean that they were the same people as they'd been before. What was she like? Your friend, I mean."

They were slowing down and Coraline hated going slow, she was too impatient to wait for anything. Coraline turned, looking curiously at Aidan before reaching for his hand. Coraline threaded her fingers through his before pulling him close, before pulling him on.
