Leg's stretched out, Coraline leaned back in her chair and rocked herself back and forth precariously balanced on the back legs of her chair. Coraline knew Neil was probably going to yell at her for putting her feet on his tables or for slacking off but she was bored. There were only so many dishes a teenage girl could do before she got bloody bored. Besides it wasn't like it was heaving in here at the moment.

"I'm so bored, isn't there anything else to do?" Coraline moaned, making a face as she looked up some boy's nostrils. Coraline yelled in surprise, overbalancing before falling back on the floor. Coraline groaned and scowled at the boy-man. "What did you do that for?"

"The first thing," Nathan replies. God, he wishes he'd been impervious to being hurt. Too many times to count, he's been kicked, punched, or thrown from the roofs of buildings. It would've been nice to not have to worry about any of that hurting like the the fucking bitch that it did.

"So what's the deal with everyone else here, then? D'you know you're the first person to realize what an A-list ability this is? It's bullshit."

"Most people here don't understand how cool superpowers are, they think its a burden or a responsibility. You know boring grown up stuff," Coraline said making a face. Coraline looked thoughtful for a moment before adding. "I know someone else like you. Someone else who could come back from the dead and stuff. They're pretty awesome too."

"Yeah, who else?" Nathan asks, because he'll probably get a kick out of meeting someone else who's got his same power. "Maybe we can swap dyin' stories. Tales of the trade and all that."

Though, he bets they've done more than he has with his power. He and the other ASBOs did fuck all with theirs before they were outed.

"A friend, I don't know if I should tell you. How about I'll tell her about you and then she can find you if she wants people to know." Coraline said thinking about Claire. She didn't want Claire mad at her because she gave up her secret identity and stuff. "Is it horrible? Dying? I knew ghosts but they never told me about that stuff."

A woman? Well, now, this had promise.

"Well, that's shit. Why wouldn't she want anyone to know? Everyone should know." Nathan protests.

Back home, it was Barry who said they should keep their powers a secret, but he'd been massively wrong about all that in the end. Having people find out about them had been the smartest thing they'd ever done.

"Not everyone is as accepting of supercool powers as you know I am. Some people would use them against you, some people would get really jealous and then angry, some people might just like to kill you over and over again for sport." Coraline explained making a face as she said it. "I just want to make sure she's safe, she's my friend. If she says it's cool then I'll tell her about you and then you two can meet up."

Is he really about to depend on an adolescent to help him chat up women?

He is. And there's no shame in that.

"Oh, come on. You've got to introduce me to her," he says, "This is how it starts, all the people with powers meetin' each other for cool superhero shit. We could form a league."
