Coraline Carter had once woken up in an alien place. Instead of waking up in her warm bed and clutching Jeremiah the toy horse, Coraline had woken in a cold, damp enclosed room- a prison. She had spent such a long time in there, she had clawed at the walls and cried until finally her daddies came and found her. That had been the worst day on her time on the island, much worse than the time when she had woken as a boy.
Coraline learned from her experiences. She learned not to blindly run in temples when the floor could give way, she learned not to trust creepy mothers who wanted to give you everything and she learned that when you go to bed, you prepare just in case you find yourself in the bad place again. So, she wasn't in the bad place this time but she certainly wasn't in her bed and she was greatful for the wellington boots she wore to bed because the ground would have been cold and damp and hard against bare feet.
"Hello?" Coraline called out, wiping her eyes tiredly as she stretched and yawned. This wasn't her hut and she couldn't see Adam anywhere. He was going to be very angry with her when he found her bed empty again. "Hello? Adam? Is anyone there?"
Coraline walked through the bushes before pausing as she heard a rather loud roar. That sounded like a dinosaur. That sounded like a dinosaur! Oh, wow. She was in dino territory. Oh, bugger Adam was going to kill her. Well, if he was going to kill her anyway at least she could go and have a proper look at the dinosaurs.
"Hello? Mister dinosaur? I won't hurt you," Coraline said as she wandered off towards unknown dangers.

Once both girls were on the ground and she was certain that the dinosaur wasn't coming back, Cassie began to climb down herself. It might have been how wet the wood was or the worn down tread on the bottom of her sneakers, but something caused her to slip when she put her feet on a lower branch and before she knew it, she was falling to earth. When she hit the ground with her leg at an awkward angle, the only reason she didn't scream from pain was because the wind had been completely knocked out of her to the point she could barely breath for a few long moments.

She breathed a bit easier when Coraline reached the ground-she was almost certain that she would attempt jumping-but when she saw Cassie's foot slip against a branch, she barely had time to stop herself from crying out.

Finally, biting her lip almost to point of making it bleed against the pain, Cassie pushed herself up to an almost sitting position. "I've never broken a bone before," she said softly, finally getting a good look at her leg. "But that angle isn't natural."
*flails*
She tried to ignore it as she hurried over, trying to get a better look.
"It looks broken." She said, examing it as best she could-which wasn't much given the circumstances. They had used leeches on her arm to reduce swelling, but even if there were leeches here they didn't have time to find them. "If we can reset your leg, hopefully it could hold long enough till we get some help."
She wasn't feeling to well: maybe from cold, or having not eaten, but anyone looking at her would've noticed that Felicity's complexion had taken a slightly green color. All she noticed was that she was trying to not throw up.
Re: *flails*
Coraline checked Cassie's foot and leg being careful when she touched it to check the circulation. Coraline sneezed and wiped her hands on her pants as she tried to concentrate on Cass.
"Okay, we need something to hold Cassie's foot like fabric and sticks. Cardboard is better, that's what we used in Brownies but I don't think dinosaurs have time for arts and crafts. We'll get you fixed up Cassie then we'll get you home. It'll be okay."
Re: *flails*
She took a deep breath and look at the two girls with as steady a gaze as she could manage. "It's okay. Coraline's right, we should..." She gritted her teeth for a moment, "wrap it then get going. We can't stay here unless that dino comes back."

They were right in either case, but cardboard was useless in such weather. They had fabric atleast, well, she and Coraline anyway, and they had sticks, or well, they could look for them.
She started looking for a sharp stick. "Come on, we could make bandages using strips of fabric."

"Here, we'll use this." Coraline said, holding the fabric tightly as she looked for sticks that would help. Being very gentle Coraline touched Cassies legs and started to wrap it. "It'll be okay Cassie, you'll see. And maybe when we're back you'll get lots of magical kisses, you know the kind that makes you better."
Coraline might have been thirteen but she still believed in magical kisses.

So instead, she concentrated on taking deep, even breaths until Coraline was done. "Thanks Coraline."

She set about finding sticks for them to use, setting them between the bands of fabric that Coraline wrapped around Cassie's leg.
She wondered if anyone was looking for them.
